MIKROTIK METAL 2SHPN ROUTERBOARD
CONFIGURATION
1.
Connect the mikrotik
to a power source.
2.
Connect the Ethernet Rj45 cable to your
computer.
3.
Set your computer knetwork to DHCP.
4.
Go to your web page – login to 192.168.88.1{ it
should take you to the mikrotik
webpage to log in; Login should happen automatically; if the mikrotik is not on a password}.
5.
On the new interface;
Click on IP
Click
on Addresses
Click
on Add new
{Address=
192.168.100.1/24}
{Network=
192.168.100.0}
{interface=
Wlan1-gateway}
Ok.
6.
Click on DHCP client;
{double click on Wlan1-gateway, change the
interface to ether1-Local; Apply=ok}
7.
Click on DHCP server;
Click on (-) to delete existing DHCP server
Right click on DHCP setup
DHCP server interface= Wlan1-gateway; click Next
DHCP
address space= 192.168.100.0/24; click Next
Gateway for DHCP Network= 192.168.100.1; click Next
Address to give out= 192.168.100.2-192.168.100.254; click Next
DNS servers= 8.8.8.8
4.2.2.2 ; click Next
Lease Time= 00:10:00 ; click Next
8.
Click on quick set.
Change CPE to WISP AP,
Enable
Network Address Translation [NAT]
NOTE:
{you
will be automatically logged out: DO NOT PANIC!!!}
9.
Connect the mikrotik
router to a modern or a switch that have an internet connection
10.
Search for the wireless “mikrotik “ and connect to it.
11.
On your
webpage Go-to 192.168.100.1 {you will be
directed into webpage of the mikrotik }
12.
Change network name as desired
13.
Click on WPA to enable security for the wireless
{set your security password}
14.
Enable NAT
15.
Change router identity as desired
16.
Create to restrict access to the mikrotik;
<Apply configuration>
NOTE:
Check: your Network name and
security;
Router identity and password;
MAKE
SURE YOU APPLY CONFIGURATION BEFORE LOGOUT !!!
